Almost 40 pairs of father and son have played the Test cricket. Even there are the instance of Grandfather, Father and Son, Grandfather and Grandson(s), Great-Grandfather and Great-Grandson played test cricket but some instances are very rare amongst all of them.

Former England cricketer George Gunn has played 15 Tests between1907-1929. He was 52 years old when he completed an innings of 183 for Nottinghamshire against Warwickshire at Edgebaston in July 1931. His son George Vernon Gunn scored 100 not out in the same innings.
George Gunn’s son George Vernon Gunn, brother John Gunn, uncle Billy Gunn and brother-in-law Ernest Stapleton also played first class cricket.

Zimbabwe’s former captain Heath Streak and his father Denis Streak also played first class cricket. Heath, a phlegmatic character who is hugely popular with team-mates, he is a fluent Ndebele speaker and hails from a ranching family near Bulawayo.
Denis played for Zimbabwe in pre-Test days. His final first-class appearance came when, aged 46, he played for Matabeleland in their winning Logan Cup final side alongside his son, Heath.
